Advent-Christmas Fair on Vörösmarty Square (Pest side) waits for guests in the heart of Budapest between 13 November – 6 January. Besides 120 craftsmen and women providing the most varied range of products, visitors can enjoy music performances (folk, jazz, blues, soul etc.), seasonal drinks and dishes served by catering stalls, and children are welcome to the playhouse. On 6th December Santa Claus spends the entire afternoon there! On the four Advent Sundays ceremonial candle lightings take place in the Vörösmarty Square as well as at the Várkert Bazár (Buda side) where the biggest wreath in Europe will be installed by the first Sunday (29th November). Visiting the most prominent part of the city, the Buda Castle, both adults and children find Christmas-related programmes at the Várkert Bazár between 29th November – 24th December. If you wish to combine experiencing the breathtaking view of Budapest and doing Christmas shopping at the same time, go to the Citadel on the top of the Gellért Hill between 28th November – 10th January. You also have the option to focus on shopping if you visit the largest shopping mall in the city, the WestEnd City Center which is in 5 minutes walking distance from Evergreen Guest House.
